BOARD GAMES

This Section is Devoted to any Board Games that feature Moon Knight in them. With the exception of a chess set from the early 2000's, Moon Knight didn't have an official Board game Appearance until recently. Because of the unique nature of Heroclix, they are not on this list and have been given their own section.

Marvel United Board Game

image

In 2020, CMON and Spinmaster launched a kickstarter campaign for a Marvel themed Boardgame called Marvel United. The kickstarter reached extensive stretch goals, allowing them to create bonus character pieces and cards, one of which was Moon Knight (when the funding surpassed $280,000). The Boardgame received a standard retail release, but the bonus characters were limited to Kickstarter backers only. The Moon Knight unlock features a Moon Knight player piece and 12 cards. There are no plans to release Moon Knight or any of the other exclusive characters outside of Kickstarter backers. The cards are standard size. The figure is around 2 inches tall, and made of a light blue plastic.

Bonkazonks Moon Knight

image

In 2012 Moon Knight became part of one of the more bizarre lines of games in recent years: Bonkazonks. Bonkazonks is a collectible game from Hasbro described as "free-form stunt-battling." They were sold in individual blind bags in which the customer would be unaware of which character they were actually purchasing. The items themselves resemble Tops with a simple sticker on them depicting the particular character in question. They are around 1 " tall, hollow, and have a weight on one end. With enough pieces people can compete in a game detailed in the enclosed instructions. It doesn't appear to have caught on, as the Bonkazonk line was short lived. I have yet to play the game, as this is the only Bonkazonk I have ever owned.

Release Date: 2012
Players: 2+
